Abu Abdurrahman's cleric Abdullah Bin Al-Mubarak Al Hanzhali Al Marwazi the famous scholar of Makkah who narrates this narration.
Once, after completing one of the hajj rituals, he rested and fell asleep.
In his sleep he dreamed of seeing two angels descending from the sky. He heard their conversation:
"How many came this year?"
the angel asked the other angels.
"Seven hundred thousand," replied the other angel.
"How many of those whose pilgrimage is received?"
"None".
This conversation made Abdullah tremble.
"What?"
he cried in his dream.
"All these people have come from the far side of the earth, with great difficulty and weariness along the way, wandering through the vast desert, and all their efforts become useless?"
Trembling, he continued to hear the stories of the two angels.
"But there is someone,
who though did not come to perform the pilgrimage, but the pilgrimage is accepted and all his sins have been forgiven. Thanks to him all their pilgrims are accepted by God. "
"How come"
"That's God's Will"
"Who is that person?"
"Sa'id bin Muhafah a shoemaker in the city of Damsyiq (damaskus now)"
Hearing this, the cleric immediately woke up, after the Hajj, he did not go straight home, but headed straight for the city of Damascus, Syria.
Until there he immediately looked for a shoe soloist called Angel in his dream. Almost all the shoe sole makers were asked, whether there is indeed a shoe soleist whose name is Sa'id bin Muhafah.
"There, on the edge of town"
Answer one of the shoe soles while pointing out the direction.
Once there the cleric found a shabby dresser,
"Is it true you are Sa'id bin Muhafah?" Asked the cleric
"Yes, who are you?"
"I am Abdullah bin Mubarak"
Said was touched, "father is a famous scholar, what is coming to me?"
For a moment the scholar was puzzled, from where he started his question, he finally told him about his dream.
"I wonder, is there something you have done, that you are entitled to a reward of Mabrur pilgrimage?"
"Well I do not know!"
"Tell me how your life has been.
Then Sa'id ibn Muhafah recalled.
"Every year, every pilgrim season, I always hear:
Labbaika Allahumma labbaika. Labbaika la syarika laka labbaika. Innal hamda wanni'mata laka wal mulka. laa syarika laka.
O God, I came because of Your call.
There is no partner for you.
All praise and praise belong to you and your power.
There is no partner for you.
Every time I hear that, I always cry
Yes god I miss Mecca.
Oh God I miss seeing the kabah.
Let me come ..
Let me come, O God.
Therefore, since tens of years ago every day I set aside money from my work, as a shoe solesman.
Little by little I gather. Finally this year, I have 350 dirhams, enough for my hajj.
"I'm ready for the pilgrimage"
"But you canceled the pilgrimage"
"Correct"
"What happened?"
"My wife is pregnant, and often cravings.
When I was leaving he was craving hard "
"My husband, you smell this delicious food?
"Yes dear"
"Try to find out who is cooking so it smells so good.
Ask a little for me "
"Ustadz, I'm also looking for the source of the smell of the dish.
It turned out to come from a hut that almost collapsed. There was a widow and six children.
I told her that my wife wanted the cooking she cooked, though a little.
The widow just looked at me, so I repeated my words.
Finally he slowly said:
"Can not be masters"
"Any sale will buy"
"The food is not for sale, sir," she said, eye-dead.
Finally I ask why?
Crying, the widow said "this meat is lawful for us and forbidden for you" he said.
In my heart:
How can there be halal food for him, but it is forbidden to me, when we are both Muslims?
Therefore I urge him again "Why?"
"We have not eaten in the past few days. At home there is no food. Today we saw the donkey die, then we took some of the meat to be cooked.
"* For us this meat is lawful, because if we did not eat it we would starve to death. But for Master, this meat is forbidden * ".
Hearing the speech was spontaneous I cried, then I went home.
I told the incident to my wife, and she cried, we finally cooked food and went to the widow's house.
"It's cooking for you"
Haj money for 350 dirhams I gave them.
"Use this money for you and your family.
Use for effort, so you will not starve again "
* Oh God ... this is Hajiku *
* O Allah ... this is Mecca *.
Hearing the story of Abdullah bin Mubarak
could not hold back tears.
